Learning targets
- Cite a source with author, title, publisher/site and year (and link if online).
- Use a variety of sources, not one or two.
- Acknowledge data that came from someone else.
Research is evidence too
When an idea or number comes from a book, datasheet, website or person, write down where. A variety of sources shows depth; one or two shows a limited search.
Your partner's data
Data shouldn't be copied from another source — including your lab partner's notebook — without clear acknowledgement. ScribEN has a Source credit block for exactly this.
Second-year extension:
- Explain how a source changed a design decision.
